Nil Elses is an electronic artist whose music moves between ambient, electronica and progressive house. Through layered synthesizers, cinematic atmospheres and intricate rhythms, he creates compositions that balance introspection with the physical energy of dance music. His approach places texture and melody at the center, allowing experimental sound design to unfold into emotionally resonant pieces.
Following the early singles “Parallel” and “Crystalline,” Nil Elses released his debut EP, Quiet Invocations, in 2023 through LeRockPsicophonique. Made in collaboration with producer José Tomás Molina, the six-track record combines ambient, techno and downtempo electronics. The EP was included in KEXP’s year-end selection, “Alternative Latin Music of 2023 in 50 Albums.”
Collaboration has remained central to his evolving sound, with projects and reworks involving Sistemas Inestables, Ciudad de Tar and Tomates Asesinos. In March 2025, he released Arquitectura Espectral, a collaborative EP with José Tomás Molina, also through LeRockPsicophonique. Across five tracks, the pair brought together ambient electronics, neoclassical textures and progressive structures, expanding their shared exploration of atmosphere, space and rhythm.
Beyond the studio, Nil Elses has brought his music to stages including Treefort Music Fest in Boise, appearing on the 2025 Treefort Music Hall bill alongside múm and EMEL. His live activity continued in 2026 with appearances at Global Groove series and its inaugural Summer Fest at Pono Ranch. These settings reflect the two impulses running through his work: the intimacy of immersive listening and the connection found on a dance floor.
